With over 2,500 Twitter followers in four months, @MirvishGehryTO has become a hub for journalists, Frank Gehry fans, and project supporters who want to stay updated and discuss the overall vision.
Mirvish + Gehry's Facebook page is a place for fans to ask questions, share their thoughts about Gehry's global work, and learn more about the project's progress.
The Mirvish + Gehry project represents larger issues in Toronto, from building tall to living downtown. Through Twitter chats we've started conversations and helped to highlight the larger impact that the project will have on the city's population.
In March 2014, we engaged the Mirvish + Gehry Twitter community in a chat about the pros and cons of building super tall buildings in Toronto. Over 200 people used the #TallTO hashtag in a one-hour period.
This project will have a huge effect on downtown Toronto and it has people talking even if they don't generally pay attention to real estate. 88 Creative works with the development team to help guide the digital strategy for Mirvish + Gehry.

MIRVISH + GEHRY
Frank Gehry is one of the world’s most celebrated architects, and he’s returning to his Toronto roots with a new project on King St. West in partnership with theatre impresario David Mirvish. The new Mirvish + Gehry project is a bold, innovative addition to Toronto’s skyline, and has been met with an extremely passionate reception.
At 88 Creative we’ve helped build online support for the project, managing the Twitter and Facebook communities and highlighting Gehry’s past work and his vision for this exciting new project. As the team works to get approval to move forward with the project, social media has helped engage local journalists, area residents, urban planners, and Gehry fans and start a discussion about what it would bring to Toronto.
